I am a Software Engineer based out of Mumbai, India. I love solving engineering problems and building products that make a difference. I believe in simplifying engineering problems and solving them incrementally through first principles, coming up with solutions that move the needle !.
I have 4+ years of experience building scalable backend systems and internal tools for SaaS products. Currently, I am working as a Senior Software Engineer at ClearGlass, a fintech startup that is bringing transparency to the asset management industry. I have exposure to a wide range of skills that include application design, API design, database design, infrastructure design, CI/CD, observability, etc.
How it all started !
My programming journey started in 2018 when I read this book and started writing web scraping and automation scripts for fun, I built a lot of interesting stuff one of which was Whatbot, a whatsapp bot that would scrape the web & tell you prices of products on whatsapp. Looking back, these were the things that got me interested in programming.
Before 2018, this might sound cliche, I was a script kiddie who used to run tools like nmap, metasploit and tried to hack into systems with little success. Used Android apps that could peek into WPA wifi networks and see what people are browsing, those were the days of unsecure HTTP websites and WPA wifi networks. Remember LuckyPatcher ?, when you could modify paid android apps/games to use premium features for free 🤦. Rooting Android phones and installing Kali Linux on it just to feel cool. Using the TOR browser to browse the dark web and search for websites that would host censored content. I had no idea what I was doing back then, but these things definitely sparked my interest in programming and computer networks. I wish I had continued doing that stuff but then I had to prepare for JEE and engineering entrances 🤷.
